Default Playing Counter-Strike Source? - 03-11-2009, 09:29 PM

Counter-Strike Source has been around for years now, and a bunch of people play it, but what made you start playing source? Did your friends get you into it? Was it just by curiosity?

Tell us how you got into the game.

For me I got into Source because my friends started playing it awhile back in 2005`

Yeah, I've been playing since 1.6 too, but it's been on and off. Now I think Source is way better than 1.6

Played 1.6 for too many years before source. :P My account got stolen so I had to buy a new account. It was 1.6 vs source and I picked source as it was something new. Then I went back to 1.6 for like a year, and then came back to source. x_x

I got 1.6 free when I bought Day of Defeat 1.3, so naturally I started with that. I really enjoyed 1.6's game play. However, Source has taken hold of my attention in recent years. Last night I tried to play 1.6 on D2, and I must say I got "raped."

I started playing 1.5 in a cyber cafe, then played 1.6 occasionally, and a couple years later bought source and have been playing it since

I played for years on 1.6, got really good just didn't have time for leagues. Then I quit for awhile, started back on source. Played source off and on for a few years also getting really good again, but of course no time with school and work to be competitive.

Then I decided to let my 14 yr old cuz try the game out while I went away for a weekend. Big mistake on my part. Decided to get a few hacks because he was tired of dying lol. Got banned and had to create a new account. Made him pay for it though.

Now I'm just playing off and on while in school full time and work full time, trying to get as good as I use to be.
